HR Business Partner – Inverclyde (Site-Based)

We’re hiring an HR Business Partner to join this blue chip manufacturing organisation based in Greenock. This site is a key location within this global organisation therefore this role is pivotal across the HR team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of the local leadership team and take ownership of a wide-ranging HR remit in a hands-on, collaborative environment.
This is a site-based role – and with good reason. Being on-site means you'll be at the heart of operations, working directly with managers and teams, seeing the results of your work in real time, and playing a critical role in shaping culture, engagement and performance on the ground. It’s an environment where HR is truly valued, and your influence will be felt across the site and beyond.
About the role:
As an HR business partner, you’ll bring a broad generalist HR toolkit and proven experience in manufacturing, engineering, or a similar environment. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you’ll support on all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including:
* Organisational Design and Development
* Compensation and Benefits
* Recruitment and Selection
* Learning and Development
* Talent Management
* Employee Engagement and Relations
You’ll also play an integral part in global and regional HR initiatives, supporting continuous improvement, modernisation and alignment of HR practices across the business.
What we’re looking for:
* Proven experience in a Business Partner / Generalist equivalent HR role
* A confident, independent thinker with a commercial mindset
* A strong HR generalist with practical experience in organisational data, systems implementation, and driving performance through HR metrics
* Experience leading young talent initiatives (apprenticeships, graduate schemes, etc.) and developing external partnerships
* Demonstrable experience leading the annual pay review and performance management cycles
* Knowledge of UK employment legislation and a pragmatic approach to employee relations
* CIPD qualified or equivalent
