Role Profile
Working closely with the Sustainability Reporting and Assurance Director, the Head of Sustainability Reporting and Assurance is responsible for implementing and delivering the priorities of the Sustainability Reporting and Assurance team.
Responsibilities
* Efficiently and effectively allocate resources within the sustainability reporting and assurance team to deliver those priorities.
* Translate ICAEW's sustainability roadmap into actionable workstreams, ensuring timely delivery of outputs and alignment with organisational priorities.
* In conjunction with the Sustainability Reporting and Assurance Director, determine the priorities of the corporate team, ensuring alignment with ICAEW's strategic objectives.
* Maintain strong working relationships with strategic relations (e.g., regulators, standard setters, and professional bodies), supporting the Director in high-level forums by preparing technical briefings and evidence-based inputs.
* Shape ICAEW's learning content for preparers and assurance practitioners, embedding sustainability knowledge into audit, ethics, and reporting IPD and CPD pathways.
Candidate Profile
* ICAEW Chartered Accountant.
* Broad understanding of developments in sustainability reporting and assurance, or willingness and ability to learn about sustainability reporting if coming from a corporate reporting/assurance background.
* Interest in emerging issues such as value creation.
* Ability to think strategically and focus resources for maximum impact.
* Suitable for someone with experience in technically focused roles or keen to undertake such work.
