CLASS 2 DRIVERS
MONDAY - FRIDAY
START TIMES: 18:30 - MINIMUM OF EIGHT HOURS
People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Renfrew and the city centre.

Rates of Pay:
* Basic: £14 - £15 per hour PAYE
Day to Day Duties
Your duties as a Class 2 Driver will involve but not be limited to:
* SOME HANDBALL REQUIRED
* Operate and drive various Class 2 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations
* Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
* Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly
* Adhere to traffic laws and regulations
* Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
* Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
* Assist with loaded and unloading of cargo as needed
Essential Skills
As a Class 2 Driver you will need to:
* Hold a valid UK Category C Licence
* No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes
* Have a valid UK CPC Card and UK Digi Card
* Be responsible for the delivery of kitchen and bedroom products to customers homes: you will have a Driver’s Mate to assist
* Load and unload vehicle with the assistance of a Driver's Mate
* Carry out pre & post journey checks
* Ensure timely delivery to customers
* Follow assigned delivery routes while adhering to time schedules
* Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills
* Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
* Effective communication skills
Desirable Experience
* Experience driving any commercial vehicles would be beneficial
* Experience delivering large or bulky goods would be beneficial
* Good customer service skills as this is a customer facing role
* Previous experience with multi drop deliveries will be beneficial
Training
* Driver's Assessment will have to be completed
* After successful Assessment, there will be paid training alongside an experienced crew member
