We have an exciting opportunity to join our team in Aldershot as a PPM & Minor Works Project Engineer. You will be responsible for the management and delivery of pre-planned maintenance and minor works activities, including planning and resourcing of labour, ensuring that all aspects of health and safety are adhered to.
Responsibilities
* Produce RAMS and SSoW (client dependent). Arrange the procurement and delivery of materials to site, including checking all quotations as required and ensuring works are completed in the most efficient manner, and in compliance with health and safety obligations.
* Schedule PPM, reactive and quoted tasks for internal engineers (as well as appropriate verified subcontractors where applicable), providing a professional and comprehensive service to all clients.
* Ensure tasks are planned and completed within client targets and SLA, while balancing achievement and cost implications when considering engineers’ routes and skill sets.
* Plan maintenance to comply with legal requirements and customer convenience.
* Liaise with Project Managers/Engineers for proposed dates of any works.
* Attend weekly planning meetings with the operational management team to highlight planning issues; review the plan for the week/month ahead to keep non-productive time to a minimum.
* Report any SHEQ concerns to the Head of SHEQ Power and your Line Manager.
* Act as the point of contact and communicate job status to QS/GM.
* Monitor work progress and handle any issues that arise.
* Create and maintain comprehensive work documentation, RAMS, SSoW, plans and reports.
* Arrange engineers to take photos of site for the database to assist future site visits.
* Provide management reporting on unproductive work/travel time and root cause analysis of unproductive time.
About You
* Previous experience in scheduling of works is essential, ideally within the Electrical/Power/Utilities industry (an advantage).
* NVQ level 2 English and Maths or equivalent.
* Experience operating in a commercial, multi-divisional organisation and dealing with clients and supply chain.
* Good understanding of MS Office suite.
