An established and boutique Investment Management firm.
The Role
The Credit Analyst will sit within a Fixed Income Team of 4 and will be focussing on analytical Credit research of relevant financial instruments with a view to generating Fixed Income and Credit investment ideas and providing recommendations to Fixed Income Fund Managers for Investment Management funds to achieve long-term outperformance and continued growth.
The credit Research will cover Investment Grade & High Yield – including Financials & Corporate sector coverage. Financials sector experience is highly desired for this role.
The Credit Analyst will conduct Credit research, including financial modelling, selection/de-selection of financial instruments for the fund, wider research into geographical, sectoral or macro led topics of interest and producing written reports on the funds, investment markets or wider topics of financial interest.
The Credit Analyst will liaise with internal and external investment analysts to share insights that inform decision-making, interacting with issuers, attend roadshows and regularly update notes on internal research database.
Keep abreast of financial news, financial markets, economic and other macro factors to inform recommendations for the fund/s.
The Credit Analyst will help refine and embed investment performance reporting process across all fixed income portfolios, in addition to aiding risk management and asset allocation.
The Candidate
3-5 years Proven experience in Credit Research, ideally covering Financials or corporates, gained from credit rating agency and or asset management firm.
Strong ability to assess, interpret and communicate complex financial information and credit metrics
Demonstrated skill in financial modelling, forecasting and scenario analysis to support investment decisions.
Good understanding of fixed income markets and Ability to form independent credit opinions.
Strong working knowledge of Excel (including pivot tables and advanced formulas) and Bloomberg for data extraction and analysis
Ideally CFA 1 achieved and working towards further.
