The Opportunity As a Data Engineer, youll help design and deliver robust, high-performance data pipelines and data platforms across a diverse set of sources and systems. Youll work closely with engineers, analysts, product and delivery teams to turn complex data into trusted, usable assets for the business. This is a hands-on role with real ownership: from ingestion and transformation, through to modelling, performance, reliability and quality. What Youll Be Doing Designing, building and maintaining scalable data platforms, cloud-native workflows and ETL/ELT pipelines Transforming and modelling data to support analytics, reporting and operational use cases Improving data quality, performance and reliability across the platform Monitoring, troubleshooting and resolving pipeline and data issues (including on-call when needed) Prototyping analytical tools, automation and solutions for complex business problems Collaborating with BI, Finance and wider engineering teams to deliver high-impact data solutions Creating clear technical documentation and contributing to engineering best practices Working in an agile, product-focused delivery environment with a strong culture of continuous improvement What Theyre Looking For A degree in Computer Science (or similar technical discipline), or equivalent practical experience 24 years experience working with SQL (e.g. Oracle, PostgreSQL or similar) 24 years experience with Java or Groovy Experience with orchestration and ingestion tools (e.g. Airflow, Airbyte or similar) Experience working with APIs (REST / SOAP) Exposure to cloud data warehouses and ETL/ELT tools (e.g. Snowflake, Redshift, dbt) is a plus Why This Role?
