Your new role
Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council are looking for an experienced Family Time Worker to join their team until November 2026 on a part-time basis. This role will involve supporting and observing family contact sessions either in contact centres or within themunity. Throughout these sessions, you will ensure you are apanying the child at all times and will be required to carry out assessments; provide support to parents and liaise with agencies such as social workers.
This role is hours a week, working from 2pm-6 Monday to Thursday and have flexibility to work occasional Saturdays when needed.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be required to have significant, referenceable experience in a similar role and understand the role of a Family Time Worker and the important role you will play in facilitating child-centered sessions. You will need to have previous experience of offering parenting advice to parents during visits and be vigilant through the whole session. As this role will involve travelling to different locations, it is essential you have access to a car and business insurance.
