Hours: 40 hours per week. This is a Reserve role covering all shifts across a 24/7 shift rota, including weekends. When not covering Reserve duty you will work 4 days across Tue‑Fri, 19:00‑05:00; the Reserve role supersedes this schedule.

About the Role
In order for Royal Mail to run a safe, efficient and cost‑effective fleet, the Network Distribution System Administrator would be expected to carry out the following tasks:
* Ensure that the Distribution Management System is kept up to date and data correctly input daily; all drivers are de‑briefed at the end of their duty.
* Ensure that CDU/FTA, the system we use to record HGV drivers’ hours, is kept up to date and data correctly input daily to maintain compliance with European Legislation.
* Issue vehicle keys and log books in line with Royal Mail standards.
* Ensure digital tacho cards are downloaded in line with Royal Mail policy.
* Carry out daily debriefs with all drivers; any unresolved issues are passed onto the shift manager.
* Ensure planned maintenance is carried out on vehicles and that the maintenance board and vehicle files are kept up to date.
* Assist with agency bookings and payroll as part of a Resourcing Assistant element; pre‑planning legal shift patterns using FTA vision and organising signing‑on sheets.
* Receive full training.

* Have a full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points (for any roles involving driving).
