Assistant QS – Civil Engineering
Salary: £35 - £45k + pkg

A main civil engineering / construction contractor that specializes in Infrastructure / Civils rail projects across the Midlands is currently looking for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor. The site-based role will consist of being part of the surveying team in charge of the commercial management sector of the ongoing projects.
Our contracting client is a main civil contractor delivering projects ranging up to £30 million throughout the Midlands region.
Successful candidates' main Duties and Responsibilities will consist of:
* Reporting to, and assisting the commercial manager.
* Preparing estimates, bills of quantities, schedule of rates, and cost plans.
* Analysing and collating timesheets and daily record sheets.
* Preparing monthly applications and cost versus value reports.
* Estimating time, labour, and material costs by using feasibility studies.
* Analysing production performance.
* Maintaining and reviewing jobs to check efficiency and consistency.
