About the Role
Konnect Recruit are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented **Credit Controller** to join our growing team based in **Park Gate**. This is an excellent opportunity to work directly within a fast-paced construction recruitment business, supporting the finance function and playing a key role in maintaining strong cash flow and client relationships.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the sales ledger, ensuring timely invoicing, and maintaining tight control over aged debt.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure credit limit applications are submitted in a timely manner and outcomes communicated internally
* Maintain accurate documentation for credit insurance purposes
* Review declined or insufficient credit limits and propose alternative solutions
* Ensure both **temporary and permanent invoicing** is accurate and completed on time
* Proactively chase overdue debt and resolve queries efficiently
* Post and allocate client receipts promptly and accurately
* Maintain and manage the sales ledger to a high standard
* Identify and suggest improvements to finance processes, supporting implementation where appropriate
Skills & Experience Required
* 1–2 years’ experience in a **credit control or finance role**
* Strong analytical and numerical skills
* Excellent problem-solving ability
* Confident communicator, particularly over the phone
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with urgency
* Good IT skills, including **Excel and Microsoft Office**
