Nursery Room Leader - Primary School in Slough
Location: Slough, Berkshire
Contract: Full-time (Monday to Friday)
Hours: Shift pattern between 7:15am and 6:15pm
Start Date: Mid December | January 2026
Salary: £13-£16 per hour (depending on experience)
Teaching Personnel are working closely with a welcoming and well‑resourced primary school in Slough, who are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Room Leader to join their Early Years team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate Early Years professional with a minimum Level 3 Early Years qualification, who is confident leading a team and supporting children's development within a caring and stimulating environment.
* Lead and inspire a team of practitioners within the nursery room to deliver high‑quality care and education.
* Plan, prepare and implement engaging and age‑appropriate activities in line with the EYFS framework.
* Support children's learning and development through play, interaction, and observation.
* Maintain accurate records and contribute to children's learning journeys and progress tracking.
* Ensure that all safeguarding, health, and safety procedures are followed at all times.
* Build strong relationships with children, parents, and staff to create a positive, nurturing environment.
* Oversee daily routines and room organisation, ensuring the highest standards of hygiene and safety.
* Support the Early Years Lead and wider school team with planning and assessment.
* Hold a Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or Childcare (or equivalent).
* Have proven experience working in a nursery or Early Years setting, ideally in a supervisory or leadership role.
* Have excellent knowledge of the EYFS framework and child development.
* Be confident, organised, and able to lead and motivate a small team.
* Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Hold (or be willing to obtain) a Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service.
