About the Role: Working within a collaborative SEN department, you’ll play a pivotal role in fostering an environment where pupils feel safe, confident, and empowered to achieve their goals both academically and socially. Your Role Will Include: Deliver personalised teaching to pupils with a range of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and MLD. Develop and adapt lesson plans in line with individual learning plans and EHCPs. Monitor progress and implement appropriate interventions when needed. Foster a positive classroom environment that promotes emotional regulation and resilience. Liaise closely with parents, carers, and external professionals to ensure consistent support. Manage teaching assistants effectively to ensure coordinated classroom support. Contribute to the development of SEN strategies and resources across the school. Job Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential. Proven experience teaching in an SEN or inclusive setting. Strong knowledge of a range of special educational needs and associated strategies. Patience, creativity, and flexibility in adapting teaching styles. Skilled in behaviour management with a compassionate approach. Up-to-date knowledge of the UK curriculum and EHCP implementation. Have an updated CV ( covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps ) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one). Join GSL Education Today!
