As the Commissioner for our specialist sexual & reproductive healthcare service, you’ll work alongside the Public Health Principal responsible for this portfolio area in using national, regional, and local intelligence to drive forward high-quality, evidence led, and good practice focused services that achieve beneficial outcomes whilst meeting legislative and statutory requirements. In doing so you’ll secure provisions that offer value for money for the population ofNorfolk.
As the lead for our specialist sexual & reproductive health provisions, which consist of three full-time level 3 clinics across the county, you will work closely with the commissioner for SRH Primary Care services and the department’s Prevention Lead for sexual & reproductive health and HIV to develop strategic approaches to addressing population level prevention and intervention provisions.
You will provide advice and guidance to key stakeholders in the development of countywide strategies in relation to SRH and associated programmes; supporting, through partnerships, the delivery of the national commissioning framework to secure the provision of high quality and effective services.
In this post, you will hold direct budget management for some £5.9m per annum. You will have good knowledge of commissioning as a function, and material experience in at least one area of sexual & reproductive healthcare services, policy, or commissioning. You’ll have experience of managing funded programmes, with evidence of commercial awareness and/ or expertise in managing projects and identifying opportunities to engage wider partners.
You’ll be able to evidence your ability to manage relationships and negotiate with current and potential providers to ensure the delivery of agreed outcomes and value for money and come to us with excellent communication skills developed through partnership working with a range of stakeholders.
