Job Summary:
An exciting opportunity to join Healthcare Improvement Scotland's Medical & Safety Directorate, providing strategic leadership and expert pharmacy advice to improve healthcare across Scotland. The role involves working with internal stakeholders and external agencies, including Scottish Government and professional bodies, to ensure safe, effective, and person-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide strategic senior leadership in pharmacy and healthcare improvement.
2. Develop and align medicines and pharmacy work programmes with national improvement initiatives.
3. Forge strategic relationships with professional and regulatory bodies.
4. Represent Healthcare Improvement Scotland at high-level meetings.
5. Ensure sound professional advice underpins all programmes of work.
6. Support pharmacists within the organization and promote professional development.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Masters level education or equivalent.
* Registered with the GPC.
* Extensive senior management and clinical leadership experience within the NHS.
* Proven track record of system-wide improvements.
Additional Information:
Externally, the role involves working with key stakeholders to enhance care quality and safety in Scotland's health and social care services.
