Job Description Summary
The GE Aerospace Electrical Power Contracts team is seeking a Contracts Specialist based in Cheltenham. This role involves managing contracts from proposal strategy, negotiation, and execution to development, production, and sustainment, serving as a key partner to the business and a primary contact for customers including US and foreign governments, airframers, and shipbuilders.
The successful candidate will collaborate across functions to ensure compliance, deliver value, and exceed customer expectations, focusing on contract lifecycle management, negotiation, risk analysis, and scope management, especially for US Government contracts.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the entire contracting lifecycle, including proposals, negotiations, claims, and disputes.
* Act as the primary contact for contractual matters with customers.
* Lead contract negotiations and interpretation.
* Coordinate with functional teams on contractual requirements.
* Develop risk mitigation strategies and present risks and solutions to stakeholders.
* Understand financials to address contractual risks.
* Handle various contract types, including complex development contracts for US Government activities.
Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in contract management.
* Experience in government, defence, aerospace, or civil contract formation and execution.
* Knowledge of US FAR and UK MoD DEFCONs.
* Familiarity with European and UK government-funded agreements.
