Responsibilities
Act independently to provide a full comprehensive specialist service of assessment, diagnosis, treatment and appropriate management, onward referral and discharge to a complex range of patients referred to the service.
Supervise occupational therapists, assistant practitioners, clinical support workers and occupational therapy students.
Develop and deliver training programmes for a wide range of professionals and carers to educate carers and significant others in the understanding of both the therapy process and any intervention relating to the management of patients’ medical and social needs.
Requirements
Work in the United Kingdom, demonstrating that you have the relevant permission to work in the country. This permission is granted by the UK Visa and Immigration Service. Ensure any NHS Scotland registration and background checks are completed.
Post holder must have a PVG Scheme membership/record. If not already a member for the required regulatory group (child and/or adult), an application must be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before starting the post.
Due to legislative changes from 1 April 2025, this post may require a different level of criminal records check than is currently the case.
