Job Title: Behaviour Mentor

Salary: £100 – £175 per day (depending on experience)

GSL Education are looking for a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to support students in schools across Mansfield and surrounding areas. This role is ideal for someone who can build positive relationships, de-escalate challenging situations, and provide targeted support to help pupils thrive in their learning environment.
Role Overview:
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work one-to-one or in small groups with pupils displaying challenging behaviour, helping them manage emotions, stay engaged in lessons, and achieve positive outcomes—both socially and academically.
Responsibilities for Behaviour Mentor:
* Support pupils in managing their emotions and behaviour in a positive, constructive way.
* Build trusting relationships to help students feel safe, understood, and motivated.
* Work one-to-one or in small groups to deliver targeted behavioural interventions.
* Collaborate with teaching staff and pastoral teams to support individual behaviour plans.
* Promote a calm and inclusive school environment that encourages learning and personal growth.
Candidate Requirements:
* Previous experience supporting children or young people with behaviour needs.
* Strong interpersonal and behaviour management skills.
* Calm, consistent, and proactive approach to difficult situations.
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
* Full CV covering the last 10 years with any gaps clearly explained.
