Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Conveyancer to join a rapidly growing department within a highly regarded and well-established Law firm.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in residential conveyancing to manage a varied caseload consisting of sales, purchases and re-mortgages, along with new builds, transfers, freehold/leasehold and registered/unregistered titles.
The successful candidate will run cases from quotation to post completion but will have support from a full time Conveyancing Assistant to ensure a high level of customer service is always maintained.
Duties:
· Manage a varied caseload consisting of sales, purchases and re-mortgages, along with new builds, transfers, freehold/leasehold and registered/unregistered titles
· Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional customer service
· Handle matters involving trusts, attorneys, matrimonial aspects and estates
· Work independently on post-completion tasks including Land Registry and SDLT requirements
· Collaborating with clients, estate agents, and other solicitors to ensure smooth transaction
· Offer technical guidance to team members when needed
· Demonstrate the ability to manage complex matters such as shared ownership, lease extensions and new builds
· Keep up-to-date with changes in legislation
· Ensure regulatory compliance and uphold internal quality standards
· Actively participate in business development and maintain professional network
Skills:
· Strong technical knowledge of residential conveyancing
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills to build strong relationships with clients
· Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in legal documentation and compliance
· Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines
· Strong organisational skills to maintain effective case management systems
· A proactive approach to business development and networking
· Friendly demeanour
· A flexible team player with a strong work ethic
Qualifications:
– Ideally qualified to CLC, CILEX or Solicitor level but not essential
– Proven experience as a Conveyancer
– Strong IT skills including MS Office and case management systems
