Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated INGENIUM Business Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements, translating them into functional specifications for the Ingenium platform.
This position requires a strong understanding of insurance business processes and technical proficiency in Ingenium. Excellent communication skills and a proactive problem-solving approach are essential.
Essential Job Functions
1. Leading and participating in the design, development, and improvement of insurance and financial products.
2. Working closely with business stakeholders to understand, document, and implement new or modified solutions and processes.
3. Gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements, and coordinating with developers to create system specifications.
4. Creating documented use cases and user stories, and conducting functional testing to ensure system operation.
5. Identifying test scenarios, preparing test plans, and executing acceptance testing.
6. Supporting system enhancements and process changes with technical teams.
7. Seeking ways to improve efficiency and client experience, and implementing improvements.
8. Identifying opportunities to streamline processes, reduce manual work, and enhance turnaround times.
9. Facilitating change management and assessing impacts of system changes.
10. Creating and maintaining procedures to support business needs.
11. Providing post-implementation support and analyzing production issues.
12. Conducting systems training for the business.
13. Providing guidance and mentorship to team members for knowledge transfer.
Basic Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science) or equivalent experience.
* Relevant insurance industry experience.
* Experience in a software engineering role.
* Experience with INGENIUM implementations, upgrades, or enhancements.
* Understanding of INGENIUM architecture and hands-on development experience.
* Practical knowledge of INGENIUM's product and its business process integration.
* Experience across all stages of INGENIUM project lifecycle.
* Proven track record of successful INGENIUM modifications.
* Expert-level INGENIUM experience.
* Experience with Pathfinder at SME or functional level and ProductXpress.
* Knowledge of various life insurance products.
* Leadership experience, including project or team management.
* Strong knowledge of software development methodologies and programming skills.
* Excellent communication and team management skills.
* Experience working in an Agile environment.
* Knowledge of COBOL, JCL, DB2, SQL, VSAM, REXX, CICS, MQ Series.
* Experience with Windows/Unix/AIX OS platforms.
Other Qualifications
* Advanced degree in a related field is a plus.
* Relevant certifications or training are advantageous.
