Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in culinary arts and experience in food production, with the ability to lead and inspire a team. As a Sous Chef, you will assist in managing kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation and presentation while maintaining food safety standards. Must be flexible on shifts.
Duties
* Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, recipe development, and food preparation.
* Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, including inventory management and ordering supplies.
* Ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations.
* Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in cooking techniques and food safety practices.
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
* Monitor food costs and waste management to contribute to overall kitchen efficiency.
Skills
* Proven experience within a professional kitchen environment.
* Strong background in food production, preparation, and cooking techniques.
* Excellent team management skills with the ability to lead by example.
* In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
* Culinary experience with a passion for hospitality and customer service.

Pay: £12.21-£15.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
