Overview
Activate Learning is excited to invite a dedicated and experienced Barbering Teacher to join our team, delivering teaching and learning experiences to students pursuing the VTCT Level 2 Diploma in Barbering. This position offers the opportunity to shape the next generation of barbers by equipping students with practical and theoretical skills for success in the industry.
Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver lessons that cover the full scope of the barbering curriculum, and assess student progress.
* Provide essential support and guidance to ensure each student reaches their full potential and is well-prepared for a career in barbering.
* This is a casual contract working two and a half days per week, roughly 18.5 hours, on Mondays and Tuesdays with teaching until 19:00 and Wednesday mornings.

Enthusiasm for helping young people develop will be at the heart of this role.
Qualifications
* A Level 2 (or higher) qualification in Barbering is essential.
* Significant, hands-on experience as a professional barber is required.
* Experience in delivering barbering education or training, particularly within a further education setting, is highly desirable.
* Solid understanding of the Level 2 VTCT Diploma in Barbering curriculum and assessment requirements is desirable.
