Our client is seeking an experienced and technically strong Finance Manager to join their Finance team on a full-time, 6 months temporary basis. This is a key operational role responsible for the day-to-day delivery of financial processes, management reporting, and financial controls across the organisation. Reporting to the Associate Director for Finance, the successful candidate will ensure financial information is accurate, timely, and accessible, while maintaining strong regulatory compliance and supporting continuous improvement across finance systems and processes. What’s on Offer: Job type: Full-time, 6 months temporary contract Location: Hailsham Salary: Competitive Key Responsibilities: Lead month-end and year-end financial close processes, producing accurate and timely management accounts Maintain cashflow forecasts, balance sheet reconciliations, and core financial controls Support preparation of statutory accounts and coordinate the annual audit process Oversee accounts payable, receivable, VAT returns, and regulatory compliance Support annual budget setting and deliver regular variance analysis and performance reporting Provide financial guidance and support to budget holders and non-finance managers Take responsibility for finance systems, data integrity, and process improvements Line manage and support the Accounts Assistant and ensure team deadlines are met Skills, Experience, and Qualifications: Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) or qualified by experience Strong technical accounting knowledge Proven experience managing month-end and year-end processes Experience producing management accounts and financial reporting Experience coordinating or leading an annual audit Strong Excel skills including financial modelling and analysis Experience supervising or managing staff Experience with TASBooks or Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Experience improving finance systems and processes Our Ideal Candidate: A technically capable and confident finance professional Calm and composed under reporting deadlines Highly organised with strong attention to detail Able to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance colleagues Proactive in identifying process improvements and resolving issues A supportive and effective team leader Comfortable working with autonomy while knowing when to escalate appropriately How to Apply: If you are an experienced Finance Manager looking for a leadership focused role where you can take ownership of financial operations and contribute to continuous improvement, we would love to hear from you.
