An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Band 5 staff nurse to join our dynamic Coronary Care unit at Hereford County Hospital. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your nursing career within a specialist area. Working alongside a skilled and supportive multidisciplinary team.
Our service comprises of caring for patients undergoing Coronary Angiography, Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI), Permanent Pacemaker insertion and provides an out of hours service for insertion of temporary pacemakers. We also care for patients with various cardiac related illnesses such as Arrhythmias, ACS (NSTEMI/ STEMI) and Heart Failure.
Administration of medication including intravenous drugs.
Caring for patients undergoing cardiac procedures such as coronary angiography and other investigations.
Participate and support patients with nutritional and hygiene needs.
Participate in practical supervision and assessing of students on placement.
Communicate with medical and multidisciplinary team to coordinate treatment and discharge planning.
Complete nursing assessment and care planning.
Perform and record patients clinical observations on maxims.
