We are passionate about developing and improving cancer services at UHSussex Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.The Cancer Nurse Specialist (CNS) team for Lung cancer is looking for motivated, flexible, and resilient band 6 cancer nurse specialist to join our team.Working with the guidance and support of the CNS matrons and wider CNS teams, the post holder will provide individualised patient-centered care for those who have been diagnosed with Lung cancer.The post holders will also be involved in service development and improvement.We are a dynamic, motivated, and supportive team, who work flexibly to meet the needs of the whole service and improve it while supporting each other.Primarily based at Worthing Hospital, but travel across University Hospitals Sussex sites is expected, to support the needs of the service.The cancer division is currently developing consistent standards of care and collaborative working across the Trust.They will be instrumental in reviewing and improving communication and pathways between the multidisciplinary teams involved in the patient's care and management - involvement in service improvement projects is requiredThis post would be ideal for nurses with Respiratory care or cancer nursing experience.We welcome applications from those who currently hold a UK NMC registration.
