Position Care Assistant (ave. 25 hours per week)
Accountable to Manager/ Head of Care
Objectives To deliver quality care to the residents of Quebec Hall and to ensure that all areas of the home are clean, tidy and presentable at all times in accordance with cleaning schedules. Also to maintain a pleasant and harmonious lifestyle for residents at all times.
Main Tasks
Resident Care
* Assist residents with personal care
* Assisting residents with meals as appropriate
* Maintaining an awareness of residents needs and helping them to retain maximum independence
* Encourage residents to live as active a life as possible
* Ensuring privacy and dignity for each and every resident
Generic Responsibilities
All staff should show respect and courtesy to residents at all times to ensure that they enjoy the highest quality of life. They need to respect the confidentiality of residents and their families at all times.
* Report any observed changes in the condition of the residents
* Be aware of and comply with Quebec Hall's policy and procedures and all statutory responsibilities such as fire arrangements, Health and Safety, COSHH and HACCP procedures
* Attend and participate in training sessions and staff meetings.
Household Management
* Operate Vacuum cleaner and other household equipment safely, maintain and store equipment properly.
* Reports any defects and withdraws faulty equipment immediately
* Attend to residents personal laundry requirements
Maintain good working relations with colleagues at all times.
