We are looking for a talented and flexible Pastry Chef to join the kitchen team at a stunning 15th-century manor house hotel set in beautiful countryside. This is a unique opportunity to work in a luxury setting known for its fine dining, weddings, and special events.
Role Summary:
Pastry chef role with some flexibility across kitchen duties.
Responsible for making all breads and pastries fresh onsite.
Duties may include pastry work, larder tasks, or breakfast pastry preparation.
Option to work breakfast shifts preparing breads and pastries for evening service, with potential nights off.
Ideal for a Commis or Junior Pastry Chef (CDP) who can cover multiple areas (pastry and larder).
Due to wage cost pressures, a multi-skilled chef is preferred over a specialist pastry-only role.
What We're Looking For:
Solid pastry skills with a flexible approach.
Experience producing breads, pastries, plated desserts, and breakfast items.
Willingness to assist with larder duties a plus.
Good organisational skills and a clean, efficient working style.
Passionate about creating high-quality pastry and bakery products.
Salary & Accommodation:
Salary up to approximately £35,000, depending on experience and skill.
Competitive pay including tips and bonuses.
Higher salary possible for exceptional candidates.
Basic but functional live-in accommodation available onsite.
