Role Overview:
As Preconstruction Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the early stages of projects, working closely with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to develop comprehensive preconstruction strategies. You will be responsible for leading the preconstruction process from concept to delivery, ensuring projects are meticulously planned, budgeted, and scheduled to achieve optimal results.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the preconstruction phase, including feasibility studies, value engineering, and constructability reviews.
* Collaborate with clients, design teams, and subcontractors to develop innovative and cost-effective solutions.
* Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and schedules to support project proposals and tender submissions.
* Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project risks.
* Manage the procurement process, including subcontractor selection, negotiation, and contract administration.
* Provide expert guidance and support to project teams throughout the preconstruction phase.
1. Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
* Proven experience in a similar role within the construction industry, with a focus on preconstruction and estimating.
* Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building regulations.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and project management skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Proficiency in construction estimating software (e.g., Sage Estimating, Procore) is desirable.
