Responsibilities
* Lead a portfolio of engagements of varying size and complexity within Dispute Advisory Services (DAS).
* Focus on Dispute Advisory Services and may engage in other areas such as financial, fraud, misconduct investigations, proactive risk management and regulatory compliance.
* Manage Forensic DAS engagements, advising on breach of contract, transaction, warranty and completion accounts, expert determinations, expropriations, product recall, business disruption and other insurance claims.
* Act independently while being supervised by the engagement leader.
* Manage risks and financials associated with client engagements.
* Prepare reports and sections for Senior Manager / Director / Partner review.
* Contribute to the development of propositions, proposals and bids for future work.
* Engage credibly with senior stakeholders at client organisations (e.g., board level individuals or law firm partners).
* Develop and oversee junior team members on project assignments.
* Recognise the importance of continuous self and team development and actively strive to achieve it.
* Manage engagement teams of varying size, including onshore and offshore colleagues, contractors and other member‑firm staff; oversee and train colleagues and take responsibility for the quality of work.
* Liaise directly with clients, external counsel, senior KPMG members and other third parties; manage multiple senior level stakeholders across projects.
* Manage expectations of senior client staff invested in dispute outcomes.
* Have Engagement Manager responsibilities on small to medium sized engagements; account to the Engagement Leaders for risk and financial management.
* Deliver high quality work and manage client expectations about dispute outcomes.
Qualifications
* Chartered Accountant (ICAEW) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
* Experience of forensic dispute work, either as part of an Expert Witness team or in a post‑M&A transaction expert determination.
* Broader experience in audit, financial due diligence and other forensic specialisms is beneficial.
* Excellent written skills for drafting forensic dispute reports.
* Demonstrable experience managing projects, including financial and risk management.
* Experience in scoping and defining forensic projects.
* Proven ability to lead and manage small teams.
* Ability to understand complex contractual documents and articulate findings in written and oral presentations for varied audiences.
* Strong stakeholder management skills and keen attention to detail.
* Ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure and adapt to changing client needs.
* Ability to build, develop and maintain relationships with internal and external contacts.
* Strong people skills, including inspiring and developing junior colleagues.
* Experience in business development activities and enthusiasm to participate in marketing and developing the Forensic DAS practice.

We are open to talk to forensic managers across the country, but our core hubs for this role are Leeds, London (Canary Wharf), Manchester. With 20 sites across the UK, we can facilitate office work, working from home, flexible hours and part‑time options.
