Belmont Recruitment are currently seeking a Young Persons Team Leader to work with Turning Point, covering three locations across the Leyland and Chorley area. This is a temporary ongoing assignment working a mixed shift pattern of early and late shifts.
The role holder will take on a key leadership role supporting young people across the clients' site. The successful candidate will be required to travel between three locations and will need an appropriate DBS check to allow them to work within both adult and children’s services.
Main Duties
* Overseeing daily operations across three sites in the Leyland and Chorley area
* Providing leadership, supervision, and guidance to staff teams, both on and off rota
* Supporting the coordination and delivery of high-quality support plans for young people
* Ensuring services operate in line with Ofsted standards and organisational policies
* Conducting regular supervision, appraisals, and team meetings
* Supporting staff development through mentoring, coaching, and training
* Managing staffing rotas and ensuring adequate cover across all shifts
* Liaising with external agencies, families, and professionals to promote positive outcomes
* Monitoring and maintaining accurate records, reports, and care documentation
* Promoting safeguarding and ensuring a safe, supportive environment for all service users
* Working flexible early and late shifts across seven days per week (no night shifts)
Essential Criteria
* Previous experience working with young people in a care or support setting
* Previous experience of managing a team within a social care setting
* Experience of working within Ofsted-regulated environments
* Ability to travel between sites as required
* Valid DBS check certificate (adults and children)
* Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
