Project Planner - Oil & Gas Project, Aberdeen, Scotland
Job Description
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and maintain a comprehensive project plan, including detailed timelines, milestones, and resource requirements
2. Coordinate and schedule all project activities, ensuring efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks
3. Monitor project progress, identify potential issues or delays, and implement corrective actions as needed
4. Collaborate closely with the project team, including engineers, technicians, and subject matter experts, to ensure effective communication and alignment
5. Prepare regular progress reports, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and recommended solutions
6. Manage project documentation, including meeting minutes, risk registers, and change requests
7. Provide support in the procurement of necessary equipment, materials, and services
8. Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations
9. Participate in project review meetings and provide recommendations for process improvements
Requirements:
10. Bachelor's degree in project management, engineering, or a related field
11. Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Planner or Project Coordinator in the oil and gas industry
12. Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects from inception to completion
13. Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques
14. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with cross-functional teams
15. Proficient in the use of project management software, such as Microsoft Project or Primavera
16. Familiarity with the regulatory environment and industry standards in the oil and gas sector
17. Willingness to work on-site in Aberdeen, Scotland for the duration of the project
