JOB TITLE: Logistics and Sales Administrator
Opportunity for an organised and flexible administrator to join a growing global business in Essex.
Purpose of the Post: To be responsible for all aspects of logistics and sales administration. First point of contact with key customers and ANZCO NZ for order management, shipping details, and information requests. To support the Logistics Manager, Commercial Manager, and General Manager, allowing them to focus on strategic, customer-focused, and revenue-generating activities. Responsible for data management and accuracy of sales and logistics information in customer and ANZCO software systems. Covering the Logistics Manager during holidays and travel. Active team member.
Duties and Tasks:
Logistics Administration
* Verify accuracy of import documentation and correct errors with ANZCO NZ.
* Request PINs and coordinate bookings with hauliers.
* Send loadout and weekly shipment reports to customers; handle ad hoc inquiries.
* Update logistics logs with ETAs and dispatch details.
* Provide backup for the Logistics Manager.
* Manage orders between ANZCO NZ/Itoham Japan and customers for regular programs.
* Input sales data into ANZCO systems and confirm with customers.
* Perform customer-specific sales admin tasks.
* Manage important documents and processes like specs, certifications, trace requests, and industry data reports.
* Handle customer purchasing and supply chain systems.
* Create and distribute stock availability sheets to sales team.
* Coordinate onboarding of new customers and form submissions.
General Administration
* Manage the office landline as gatekeeper.
* Packing and couriering product samples.
* Oversee holiday calendar, office supplies, and expense filing.
* Potentially manage some smaller customer accounts if interested.
Other Duties
* Perform any reasonable duties or reports as assigned by the General, Logistics, or Commercial Managers, within your skills.
Person Specification:
The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, enthusiastic, with strong organisational and administrative skills. Attention to detail, ability to work independently, and willingness to assist a small team are essential.
Experience (Essential or Desirable):
* Knowledge of industry and current practices: Desirable
* Experience in logistics or sales administration: Essential
* Experience in sales: Desirable
* Advanced Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook skills: Essential
