Job description:
1. Accounts – Provide support to the finance team, mainly purchase ledger, multi-currency bank reconciliations, staff expenses, credit cards, petty cash, input of data into project costing.
2. Payroll – Overseeing the payroll for 57 employees, this includes variable overtime, holiday, sick pay, and any other statutory benefits. Company pension administration. Any tasks in connection with new starters and leavers.
The ideal candidate:
For the accounts position, it is essential to have experience of working in finance/accounts team.
· Knowledge of Sage 50 professional
· Online banking –
· Microsoft office 365 – Excel, Word, SharePoint
Key skills required for accounts role: confident and friendly team player, good communication skills, maintaining professional relationships with suppliers, good organisation and ability to meet deadlines.
For the payroll position, it is essential to have experience of running a Payroll with multiple variables.
· Knowledge of Sage Payroll
· Being familiar with HR applications – for communications with new starters, leavers, company notices, personnel information. (Benchmark currently uses People HR)
· Ensure compliance with payroll legislation
· Microsoft office 365 – Excel, Word
Key skills required for Payroll: numeracy, good organisation, accurate with excellent attention to detail, understanding of handling sensitive information, performing to deadlines.
What's on offer:
One Full time or two part time positions, office based.
Core office hours are: 9am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday
For sole Accounts position, we can be flexible on a 3-day week, or 24 hours spread across the week.
For sole Payroll position, part time, would need to be committed to the 3rd week of every month. To maintain employee's wages to be received by bacs on 28th of each month. This position could also suit a self-employed person, providing the payroll preparation and processing is done on site.
