We are seeking a kind, patient and passionate Life Skills Teacher to join a dedicated specialist setting supporting Year 9 students with ASC. This is a full-time role from Monday 5th January to Friday 27th March 2026.
All applicants must be willing to undertake safeguarding checks, including an Enhanced DBS.

As a Life Skills Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, highly personalised lessons, as well as marking books and folders. You will support pupils with communication, wellbeing, independence and confidence, working within a nurturing, structured and consistent environment.

Requirements
To be considered for the role of SEN Teacher - Year 9 ASC Specialist you will:
* Hold a recognised teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, BEd). ECTs are encouraged to apply.
* Have experience teaching students with ASC or additional needs (essential).
* Be kind, calm, patient and nurturing in your approach.
* Be confident with lesson planning, delivery and marking.
* Be adaptable and able to tailor learning to meet individual needs.
* Be committed to the academic, emotional and social development of pupils.
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
* 2 years teaching experience
* 2 years experience working with additional needs in any capacity - specifically ASC
