Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our dynamic finance team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of our organisation, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our accounting processes.
Duties
* Competent in the use of Sage Accounts, Microsoft Excel and Word
* Checking despatch notes to packing lists. Checking shipments to customers and raising sales invoices from the MRP Easy software.
* Data input of sales invoices.
* Reconciling daybooks from Sage accounts to MRP Easy.
* Date input of purchase invoices with accurate coding to the nominal ledger.
* Dealing with any invoicing queries and investigating missing/incorrect invoices.
* Managing the sales and purchase ledgers.
* Credit control, following a strict procedure.
* Data input cash receipts/payments.
* Maintaining and filing/scanning all invoice documentation as required.
* Reconciling customers' and suppliers' invoices and statements.
* Maintaining the Timemoto clocking in system. Reporting to managers with any queries on staff timekeeping.
* Checking timesheets and raising Excel reports showing overtime and sickness ready for payroll.
* Entering the pensions deductions to Nest.
* HR letter writing and minute taking when needed.
* Preparing staffs starter and leaver packs.
* Assisting with Auditors requests.
* Any other reasonable duties required for the efficient daily running of the accounts department.
Skills
* No qualifications necessary but bookkeeping experience is essential.

* Excellent data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing individual responsibilities.
* Proficient user of Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)
* Good knowledge of Sage Accounts.
* Knowledge of MRP Easy desirable.
* Can do attitude, self-motivated, able to have more than one project on the go at any one time.
Job type - Full-time
Schedule - Monday to Friday, 8:30 to 5:00 and 30 minute lunch break
