Teaching Assistant (Full-Time) – Specialist Primary School (SEND) Are you passionate about supporting young learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? A caring and inclusive primary school is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join its team on a full-time basis. This role offers the potential to progress from a temporary position to a permanent one. About the School: The school provides a nurturing environment for children aged 2–11, ensuring every pupil feels valued and supported. With a strong focus on early development, academic progress, and social skills, the school helps children achieve their potential and grow into confident, independent learners. Your Role Will Include: Supporting pupils with SEND across early years and primary stages, meeting individual learning and personal development needs. Working closely with teachers to adapt resources and strategies for each child. Delivering one-to-one and small-group interventions to build confidence and independence. Assisting in the implementation of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). Creating a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment. Encouraging positive behaviour and social interaction in and beyond the classroom. Collaborating with staff, parents, and external professionals to achieve the best outcomes for every child. What We’re Looking For: Experience supporting children with SEND, ideally in an early years or primary setting. A patient, compassionate, and resilient approach with strong relationship-building skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Adaptability and proactive problem-solving skills. Effective behaviour management and the ability to maintain a calm, structured environment. A commitment to fostering independence and confidence in pupils.
