We’re recruiting for a Night Marina Operative to join a well‑established and friendly marina team based at Haslar Marina. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working independently, takes pride in delivering excellent customer service, and is confident maintaining a safe and secure environment overnight.
About the Role As a Night Marina Operative, you’ll play a key part in ensuring the marina runs smoothly and safely during night hours. Our berth holders rely on us to provide a secure, well‑managed environment, and you’ll be responsible for:
Conducting regular patrols of the marina and boatyard
Carrying out safety and security checks
Monitoring access to restricted areas
Overseeing CCTV systems
Supporting customers with a professional, helpful approachYou’ll be joining a supportive team where full training is provided, and ongoing development is encouraged.
What We’re Looking For We’re interested in candidates who can demonstrate:
Proven customer service or customer‑facing experience
A positive, “can‑do” attitude
The ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
Calmness and professionalism under pressure
Confidence in learning and using computer-based systemsExperience in a similar role or knowledge of boating is helpful but not essential—what matters most is reliability, teamwork, and a proactive approach.
Working Hours This role operates on a 7 nights on / 7 nights off rota (11‑hour shifts), including weekends and Bank/Public Holidays. Occasional day shifts may also be required.
