We are looking to bring another experienced Groundworker/Supervisor into our growing team. Our business is expanding and as we take on new work, we need new people that can add value, bring new ideas and experience to our committed team. We rely on our key people to have autonomy and act like owners, driving their business forward in the most efficient way possible. Our candidate:
* Self employed (pay scale reflects self employed staff for this position but PAYE may also be considered)
* Must have experience leading people and required H&S knowledge - SSSTS or SMSTS & First Aid desired
* Should have some experience and knowledge in all aspects of groundworks in residential development - earthworks, drainage, substructures, services, and external works/finishings
* Competent working with drawings and levels desired
* Comfortable planning, organising and structuring work desired
* Experience organising plant/equipment and ordering materials required for the work desired
* Should be capable of collaborating with other Supervisors to organise work, people and equipment in a way that benefits to the overall business and not just one site.
* Should be good at recovering from setbacks, and able to motivate a team during down days.
* Should be capable of working between the clients team and IKC management to communicate and resolve issues/variations on site.
* Comfortable checking and making records of work
* Must care and act like an owner in their daily activities.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £20.00-£25.00 per hour
