Graduate Teaching Assistant – SEN School (Preston)

A welcoming and inclusive SEN (Special Educational Needs) school in Preston is seeking a Graduate Teaching Assistant to join its team. This is an ideal role for recent graduates who are enthusiastic about supporting children and young people with a range of additional needs and are considering a career in education, psychology, or therapy.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support pupils with a variety of learning needs including autism, speech and language difficulties, and complex needs.
* Work closely with teaching staff to provide individual and small group support.
* Adapt and prepare learning resources to suit different learning styles and needs.
* Encourage independence, confidence, and communication in pupils.
* Help to maintain a safe, positive, and structured classroom environment.
Requirements:
* Must hold a Bachelor’s degree.
* A strong interest in SEN and inclusive education.
* Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
* Previous experience supporting children or young people is desirable but not essential.
