We have permanent vacancy for an Assistant Cook in Lindsay House Care Home, Lumphinnans:
Assistant Cook – 33.25 hours per week, on a 4-week rota working 2 weekends on, 2 weekends off, on a 52- week contract
1. Duties will include preparation of food and beverages and the organisation of the service of food.
2. Duties may include transporting and serving of meals, general kitchen and dining room duties (for example washing up, setting up and clearing away equipment and tables), and cleaning of the kitchen, its surround and equipment.
3. Completing required paperwork including electronic returns.
You will earn a competitive salary of £24,740.74 pro-rataand have access to a range of benefits, including:
4. £13.18 per hour, plus extra payments for shift work, including weekends.

The Person
10. Catering Experience or a Qualification such as an SVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent is required.
11. Before confirming your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.

13. You will be required to attend an Induction Training Day before starting in post.
