This role offers a hybrid of office and home working with some travel to operational depots required, as well as the opportunity to get out and about to see what happens in the field.
What you'll do
The role supports two teams that cover the entire Wessex Water region, for both reactive and planned jobs.
You will:
* put together financial reports, prepare and deliver monthly performance reviews and update KPIs
* contribute to the monthly forecasting of works delivered by the Mainlaying and Small Schemes teams
* manage the costing cycle of project works delivered by the Mainlaying and Small Schemes teams for the wider business, from initial estimate to final cost review and comparison
* assist in the procurement process for sub-contract resources and support services as and when the teams/business require them
* administer the payments and cost allocation for our sub-contract resources
* build trusted relationships with colleagues and external contractors
* travel to different sites across the region as required.
What you'll need
We are looking for a proactive, enthusiastic, confident and self-motivated individual who can share the vision, values and work of our business.
Ideally, you will have:
* the ability to manipulate, understand and analyse large volumes of data
* an eye for detail and a high level of accuracy
* strong organisational skills and the ability to work calmly under pressure
* excellent communication skills
* the ability to learn and understand new systems
* excellent Microsoft 365 skills, eg, proficiency in Excel (including pivot tables and formulas) and experience using Teams and Outlook.
