About Chiseldon Primary & Nursery School
1. A friendly one-form-entry maintained primary and nursery school serving our village and families across Swindon.
2. Classes from Nursery to Year 6 (PAN 30) with a class teacher in each year group; supported by 6 teaching assistants.

About the role
We are looking for a motivated, creative and caring Primary Class Teacher to join our team on the Main Pay Scale. This role offers the opportunity to teach in a supportive, collaborative environment and to contribute to whole-school priorities, including:
6. Strengthening literacy and numeracy foundations across the school.
7. Promoting consistent behaviour, safety and pupil well-being.
8. Enhancing early reading, oracy and maths in the early years and key stages.
9. Embedding a comprehensive safeguarding curriculum so pupils deepen their understanding of safety and personal responsibility.
Key responsibilities include:
10. Planning and delivering an engaging, broad curriculum that supports academic achievement and the development of character.
11. Using assessment effectively to set clear, ambitious targets and to adapt teaching to meet pupil needs.
12. Building strong relationships with pupils, parents, governors and colleagues to foster a positive school culture.
13. Participating in after-school activities and wider school life to enrich pupils’ experiences.
14. Contributing to subject leadership and school self-evaluation as required.

16. Committed to inclusive practice and able to adapt teaching to meet a range of needs, including pupils with SEND and those eligible for pupil premium.

18. Confident using ICT to enhance learning and assessment.
19. A strong communicator who works well with parents, carers and external agencies.
20. Eager to continue your professional development and open to coaching, mentoring and collaborative professional practice.
