The Role
1. CNC Programming using Alphacam to develop and optimize CNC milling programs based on engineering drawings, CAD models, and other technical specifications.
2. Proving out programs and conducting first inspections.
3. Managing the CNC program database with Cimco, approving or rejecting CNC programs returned from machines, and maintaining accurate records of setup sheets and tooling information.
4. Setting up CNC milling machines, including loading materials, fixtures, and tools, and calibrating machine settings for precise results.
5. Monitoring consumable levels and advising when stocks are low.
6. Operating CNC milling machines safely and efficiently to produce small batch and prototype components, adhering to production schedules and quality standards.
7. Performing quality control using inspection equipment, conducting first-off and in-process inspections to verify part conformity, and making necessary adjustments.
The Candidate
1. Experience programming, setting, and operating Fanuc-based CNC milling machines.
2. Experience with programming using CAD/CAM software.
3. Good communication skills with management and team members.
4. Experience with final or in-line inspections.
5. Knowledge of 3 to 5 Axis CNC milling machines.
6. Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
7. Proficiency with various measuring and inspection equipment.
