Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals home care setting working on a Monday to Friday basis and some weekend cover maybe required to relieve other staff. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a good command of English, and the ability to follow care plans effectively. This role requires a reliable individual who can assist clients with daily living activities while promoting their independence and well-being.
Responsibilities
* Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing.
* Support clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety at all times.
* Prepare meals and assist with feeding when necessary.
* Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in client condition to the appropriate personnel.
* Follow individual care plans tailored to each client's needs.
* Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the client's quality of life.
* Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required.
* Ensure a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light household tasks.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential.
* Familiarity with care plans and the ability to implement them effectively.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in English.
* DBS on the update service is an advantage
* A valid driving licence is desirable for transporting clients.
* A caring attitude with a commitment to providing high-quality support to individuals in need.
