Up and Under Ltd an RSK Group company are recruiting for an Office Administrator to join the team based in Crewe, UK. This is a full‑time, permanent position.
Up and Under, established in 1987 and based in Crewe, UK, provides inspections, surveys and repair and maintenance services to a broad range of clients. It undertakes work on structures ranging from major UK national landmarks to minor roads, including highway bridges over the River Thames in Central London and the inspection and investigation of the Lovell Telescope at Jodrell Bank, as well as international projects.
This is a varied role that combines receptionist/secretarial duties with accounts support and practical tasks to help ensure smooth day‑to‑day operations.
The ideal candidate will be organised, confident using modern office systems, and willing to turn their hand to a variety of tasks — from welcoming visitors and managing files in Microsoft Teams to entering invoices, supporting sustainability reporting, and carrying out basic vehicle checks (training provided).
Responsibilities
* Act as the first point of contact for visitors, calls, and general enquiries (via VOIP phone system and email).
* Manage incoming/outgoing post and parcels.
* Assist in gathering and maintaining data for environmental, social and governance (ESG) reporting.
* Input purchase invoices into accounting software.
* Create and issue sales invoices.
* Assist the store manager with basic vehicle checks (tyre pressure, oil, water levels etc. – training provided).
Qualifications and Experience
* Previous experience in an administrative, receptionist, or office support role desirable.
* Basic accounts knowledge an advantage (training provided).
* Comfortable using Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, and digital phone systems.
* Good attention to detail and data entry accuracy.
* Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
Salary and Benefits
* £26,208 dependent on experience.
