We are recruiting for a well-established manufacturer of aluminium profile and lighting products, employing over 120 people across their operation. With a proud history and a strong reputation for quality, they are seeking a hands-on Maintenance Manager to lead their small but skilled maintenance team and keep their production running smoothly.

The role
You’ll manage and mentor a two-person maintenance team — one qualified electrician and one experienced operator who has grown through the company — while remaining hands-on with maintenance work yourself.
You’ll be responsible for keeping our machinery in top condition, including saws, CNC machines, edge banders, and flatbed lasers (knowledge of these would be beneficial, but not essential — the right learning mindset matters most).
Key responsibilities:
* Lead, mentor, and develop the maintenance team.
* Carry out hands-on maintenance (mechanical bias preferred).
* Oversee health & safety standards and work closely with external consultants.
* Manage site maintenance requirements across multiple work areas.
* Ensure equipment uptime to support production deadlines.
What we’re looking for:
* Proven maintenance or engineering management experience — manufacturing background ideal, but other sectors considered.
* Mechanical bias (electrical knowledge an advantage).
* Strong mentoring skills and the ability to lead by example.
* Practical, common-sense approach to health & safety (NEBOSH helpful, not essential).
* Maturity, trustworthiness, and the ability to work across departments with multiple stakeholders.
* Hands-on mindset with a willingness to learn new machinery.
