About the Opportunity
A leading international law firm is looking for an experienced and forward-thinking lawyer to advise on legal and regulatory issues at the intersection of data, technology, generative AI, and emerging digital innovation. Please note, this is an internal, non-fee earning role.
Working closely with the firms General Counsel and senior leadership, you’ll help shape the firm’s global approach to these rapidly evolving areas - providing practical, risk-aware and commercially grounded legal advice that supports business strategy while ensuring regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide strategic legal guidance on matters relating to data governance, AI, and emerging technologies.
* Collaborate with internal specialists and leadership to maintain alignment on global legal standards and regulatory developments.
* Develop and refine internal policies, frameworks, and training relating to data use, retention, and ethical AI deployment.
* Advise on professional and regulatory obligations concerning data collection, management, and protection across global operations.
* Help senior stakeholders make informed, compliant decisions in a fast-changing regulatory landscape.
About You
* Qualified lawyer (minimum 5 years PQE) in a common law jurisdiction.
* Strong technical understanding and demonstrable interest in technology, digital transformation, and AI regulation.
* Working knowledge of data privacy laws and the evolving global legal landscape for AI and emerging tech.
* Able to interpret and apply regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
* Pragmatic, commercially minded, and decisive, with the ability to balance innovation and compliance.
* Skilled communicator, confident working across time zones, cultures, and seniority levels in a collaborative global environment.
