Reporting to the Mills General Manager and working closely with the Mills Finance Team, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of day-to-day milling operations. Up to £37,000 per year Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:30 Opportunity to work across multiple sites and systems Supportive team environment with development opportunities Purpose of the Role The Administration Lead will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating administrative processes across the Mills, ensuring accurate and timely transactions, supporting financial processes, and improving efficiency across systems and procedures. Main Responsibilities Ensure all Mills run activity checks to enable timely closure of daily, weekly, and previous periods Manage and maintain master data within Mtech Reconcile production data in Mtech to DSL Oversee external feed invoicing Oversee control processes for ORACLE purchase order raising Manage and control overhead GRNI Support manual production entry for Mills not currently interfaced Coordinate administrative procedures and identify opportunities to streamline processes Work closely with the finance team to resolve queries and meet deadlines Communicate effectively with mill administrators to ensure timely transaction completion Provide cover and support to the wider admin team Produce ad-hoc analysis as required Create and maintain supplier, raw material, and finished feed data in AMINO What We’re Looking For Essential: Strong organisational and multitasking abilities Experience working with multiple IT systems Excellent Excel skills (including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and data analysis) Strong communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Proactive and highly organised approach Desirable: Experience with ORACLE systems Experience with Mtech AMINO system Attitude & Approach Positive, resilient, and flexible attitude Comfortable communicating at all levels of the business Strong team player with a collaborative mindset Approachable and willing to support others About Us Avara Foods is one of the UK’s largest food businesses, supplying chicken and turkey to leading supermarkets and restaurants.
