Our Field Operations teams work towards protecting people and the environment by maintaining and operating our flood and coastal risk management assets across the country. We provide advice and support to our colleagues across the business and to external customers and stakeholders. We respond to flooding and environmental incidents both day and night and provide mutual aid which supports our colleagues and communities across the country when flooding incidents occur. In this role, you will work closely with your Team Leader to: · Complete our maintenance programme by planning, scheduling and resourcing works. · Actively monitor the team’s work to ensure that high standards in health, safety and wellbeing are maintained whilst promoting a proactive culture. Working safely is paramount. · Ensure we have clear and concise site paperwork and assist on projects, take responsibility for work specifications, and work collaboratively with internal and external partners. · Ensure work sites are fully compliant to legal requirements and Environment Agency policies and procedures. · Identify organise, and coordinate training to test our incident response plans. · Assist in leading our operational response to flood and environmental incidents by participating and training in an incident role.
