They are seeking a Principal Structural Engineer based in the UK with a strong technical background and proven experience leading structural aspects of projects of varying size and complexity.
Their work spans multiple sectors, with a strong focus on industrial manufacturing, technology, education, government, and defence. Recent projects include data centres, distribution centres, gigafactories, advanced manufacturing facilities, microprocessor plants, as well as commercial, residential, retail, and public sector buildings. They are involved at all stages of projects, from concept through to delivery, including work on highly secure and complex existing assets.
Role Responsibilities:
* Lead the design and coordination of structural engineering solutions across a diverse project portfolio
* Manage both technical and commercial aspects of projects
* Lead and mentor teams of structural engineers and BIM modellers
* Interface with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams
* Contribute to and uphold technical quality standards, including reviewing and validating the work of others
* Support the development and mentoring of junior engineers and colleagues
Qualifications & Experience:
* Relevant degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
* Professionally qualified (ideally Chartered with IStructE or ICE)
* Existing SC clearance or eligibility to obtain clearance
* Strong technical expertise across a range of xsngvjr structural engineering projects
* Experience with structural materials and their practical application on site
* Familiarity with structural analysis and design software
* Strong understanding of health & safety and relevant regulations
* Excellent communication skills, including technical report writing
* High attention to detail and strong review capability
* Interest in sustainability and delivering sustainable outcomes
* Proven ability to manage teams and project resources effectively
* A collaborative mindset with a willingness to mentor and share knowledge
