Title Lecturer in Functional Skills and GCSE English
Description Are you passionate about delivering the highest standard of teaching and learning, and ready for your next career move? Chelmsford College is seeking to appoint an innovative, enthusiastic and motivated Lecturer in Functional Skills and GCSE English. The successful candidate will be joining an experienced team of practitioners at a time of growth. You will have the opportunity to be involved in shaping our curriculum offer for 16 – 18-year-olds and adults. You will be responsible for delivering exciting and engaging lessons to learners studying English to have a meaningful impact on their academic progress. The qualifications we offer are AQA GCSE English Language and Pearson Functional Skills English from Entry Level through to Level 1. Applicants will need subject specific qualifications along with previous teaching experience in their subject area. We are ideally looking for an individual with relevant and up to date subject knowledge and experience, as well as the ability to prepare, plan and deliver high quality lessons, however we would also consider newly qualified or unqualified teachers. Experience of assessing Functional Skills English would also be beneficial for this role. Lessons will be delivered in College across our two sites during the day, with our adult provision running in the evening. The College is committed to equality and diversity and to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. We expect all staff to share these commitments. Starting salary will be dependent on qualifications, skills and experience. This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check. Applications will be considered upon receipt.
